The Barloworld Volkswagen facility at Mascot was completed in three phases over several years.
The first phase involved the conversion of an existing run-down motor vehicle showroom into a new Volkswagen
retail outlet.
The second phase of works included upgrading the service centre to provide improved customer service
reception, larger and better equipped staff facilities and upgraded storage for parts and consumables.
The third and final phase brought to completion the largest single Volkswagen dealership in Australia at
the time and provided a complete passenger and commercial vehicle dealership with service and parts
facilities, customer lounges and landscaped forecourt and parking areas.
